Overview

Tankfall is a fast-paced, top-down PvP tank combat game created by Anders Pedersen and Zack Newman. Designed for up to eight local players, Tankfall pits friends against each other in frantic free-for-all matches where quick reflexes and clever strategy determine who’s left standing.

Core Mechanics

Every player starts with bouncing bullets and a versatile dash. Use the dash to cross hazards, escape danger, or even catch bullets mid-flight by dashing into them. The rules are simple: survive, adapt, and outplay your opponents until only one tank remains.

Weapons & Abilities

Power-ups spawn randomly, keeping each round fresh. Swap your basic gun for a sniper that sends shots screaming across the map, or grab a shotgun that blankets close-range fights with a spread of ricochets. Layer in abilities like explosive rounds, homing bullets that retarget on each bounce, extra ricochets for unpredictable angles, and a laser sight to line up the perfect shot. Pickups are lost when you die, so momentum swings are constant—and spectacular.

Arenas & Hazards

The maps are as dangerous as your rivals. Water is instantly lethal—unless you time a dash to skim across it for a bold flanking play. Certain walls let tanks pass but block bullets, creating delicious choke points and baited traps.

Playstyle & Strategy

Although the game rewards fast, aggressive play, mastery comes from experimenting with weapon/ability combos, timing dashes, and seizing control of power‑up spawns. Randomized drops demand constant adaptation—no two matches play the same.

Development & Release

Originally started as a hobby project, Tankfall has grown into a polished party game built in Unity, with plans for a Steam release. Whether you’re craving short duels or all‑out eight‑player brawls, Tankfall delivers chaos, skill, and a dash of luck.
